Bryllypsantrekk til minstemann
Wedding "suit" for my littlest manVi skal i bryllyp i september, søstera mi skal gifte seg. På tide å tenke på antrekket... Først: lillebror.
My sister is getting married i September - about time to think about what to wear. First: the little one.
Heldigvis hadde jeg mamma på besøk den gangen som kunne hjelpe meg med å forminske og med å tolke sømbeskrivelsen... Jeg sydde ikke den stikningen langs kanten - jeg var for redd for ar den skulle bli helt skeiv.
I made this vest for E a little more than two years ago. He was the same age as the little one is now - and we were invited to a wedding. This was the first piece of clothing I made! The pattern was from a Burda magazine (summer 2009), made a size smaller. I had fallen in love with the blue/black fabric with gold print at the local quilting store and was wondering how to useit for my little boy... Front of a vest of course! Back and lining are made from one of my husbands no longer used shirts (not-quite-black linen).
Luckily I had my mum to help me downgrade the pattern and interpret the sewing description. I never sewed along the edges - I was too afraid of not being able to sew a straight enough line...
So I just needed to make matching trousers for M. I made these using the same fabrics. The pattern is a heavily modified Little Heartbreaker Pants from the book Sewing for Boys. More about the trousers tomorow...
